Pencil case Ayu (sweetfish)

Carefully dyed by hand using the traditional Japanese indigo dyeing technique "Gujo-honzome" (a traditional dyeing technique from Gujo, Gifu) , that has been handed down for over 400 years. 
This pen case is dyed in dark blue with natural indigo.
The motif is ayu fish swimming in the clear streams of Gifu Prefecture in early summer.
