$97.00Gujo Hachiman, located in the center of Gifu Prefecture, is a castle town that prospered during the Edo period (1603-1868) with Gujo Hachiman Castle as its center. "Gujo-Honzome" has been handed down for over 400 years since the Edo period. Each piece is carefully hand-dyed in the traditional Japanese indigo dyeing method.
This scarf is made with a special weaving technique called "double weave", which gives it a fluffy volume when worn. They are repeatedly soaked in fermented natural indigo, washed in clear water, and dried in the sun.
