by 白百合工房

¥3,300

Winner of the "Good Toy 2013" award. Children's toys made from wood produced in Gifu Prefecture, perfect for wood education and intellectual education!
"Tsumibobo" has a body made of cedar from Higashishirakawa in Kamo-gun, Gifu, and a head made of maple from Hida.
The body is made of light cedar and the head is made of maple, which is strong and heavy enough to be used for chairs, to create a balance between the weight of the head and the body. It is also possible to make them stand on their heads or stack them diagonally.

The motif is "Sarubobo," a familiar souvenir from Hida Takayama. There are many theories about the origin of it, but it is a doll made with the wish that babies would grow up healthy in the land of Hida, which was deep in the mountains and poor.
